Ενάντια στην φημολογία περί απομόνωσης, αποξένωσης και άλλων σχετικών θεωριών γύρω από τα MMORPG, ο Cristian (BlessTheChild) και η Irina (MagicLady) από την Ρουμανία, ο Ilko (LetMeDance) από την Βουλγαρία και η Έλενα (Lyelin) από την Αθήνα, ταξίδεψαν τη Μεγάλη Εβδομάδα μέχρι το Άργος Ορεστικό με αποκλειστικό σκοπό να συναντηθούν και να συναντήσουν τα εκεί μέλη της clan τους στο Lineage II.
Η πενθήμερη μετατροπή του «εικονικού» σε πραγματικό community ήταν απόλυτα επιτυχής και μεταξύ (πολλών) άλλων βρήκαμε και την ευκαιρία για ένα mini interview με το “celebrity” της ομάδας, τον Cristian.
O Cristian είναι Hero στον Teon, Ally Leader των Union και Owner του Schuttgart Castle με την clan του, τους Unity.
What are your main and subclasses? Why did you choose these classes?
-My Main class is Maestro lvl 78. The reason I chose him and lvl him was simple … money J. I started with an Elf Mystic. I went until lvl 18 but quit because of the luck of money. I know many people don’t like to play dwarfs but to me is my favorite class.
- 1st subclass Warlord. Warlord was easy to lvl and I didn’t had to get new gear for him since I had Blue Wolf set and Lance from my main char. With the Warlord I managed to level up and make a lot of money at the same time. I’m happy that I decided on this class as subclass
- 2nd subclass Warlock. Noticed anything? (WARsmith/WARlord/WARlock ) and next subclass if I will ever get this one to 75 will be WARcryer! I have decided to get Warlock this time because I can help clan with teleports to many locations on map since I’m a noble and have access to noblesse teleports. This subclass is only lvl 45. I really don’t have time to lvl it and to say the truth I don’t like it that much but will lvl up someday, no problem.
A Hero on Teon. Do you get any responses from other players when they see you?
- I really wanted to be hero. It was one of my main goals in Lineage II after C4 came out. Yes, people respect you much more and talk with you or be nice to you. But heroes don’t have such good image on all players. Some people respect you for that and some don’t. I have always been trying to be a nice person ( I’m a dwarf in the end ). I think you have to gain it by yourself not just by being a Hero.
Do you believe that the Hero Powers you got, are in proportion with the effort you made to become a Hero? In other words…does it worth it? (…or is that an absolutely stupid question to a RPG player?)
- Not at all. I think it’s a good question and I would like to see other heroes answers to this as well. As I said earlier, I wanted to be a Hero. Maybe others have other goals. Mine was to get on top and to be Hero. I had to quit everything and give all my time to lvl and get there. Many may disagree, but I got what I wanted and now I can enjoy everything I left behind before. I’m at peace now. It worth it and not only because of the money you get. I enjoy helping players now. Though it’s hell sometimes to answer to all pm’s. Sometimes you get sick of it but generally it’s a good feeling to be able to help other players even if you don’t personally know them.
Getting a Castle on Teon. How hard is that?. How much time and what are the
preparations it takes?
- Much Time …. Many want castles and in the end who doesn’t? I always wanted one like all the others, but Schuttgart in specific was a must for me. It was a promise I made to someone who betrayed me and my clan. I had almost 2 months to form an ally strong enough to take the castle. We spent many days to perfect our plan for the Siege. And we made it. We were lucky as well as it was a balanced Siege.4 clans attacking and 4 defending. But we were better prepared and our Overlords did a great job also. The more Overlords you have the more the chances your members will stay alive.
And how do you prepare for a Boss Raid?
- Raids became harder in the last months as many powerful clans and allies farm them. We plan raids 2-3 days before and we pray to be lucky to get 3-4 Raid Bosses.
What it takes for someone to become a member of Unity Clan?
- Short answer … to be mature and to act mature. I recruit almost everyone. I give a try to everyone. My job is to get to know each member personally .If I like him he stays. If I don’t I dismiss him. .. Simple for a clan leader right? Well … it’s not that easy.
What difficulties you come across on leading the Ally? How do you cope with them?
- Being neutral on the server is not an easy task. Being neutral and being in the center of things needs good diplomacy from the ally leader. Everybody is searching for trouble. As a leader you have to be there almost all the time to fix every little thing on the spot. It’s even more difficult when other leaders don’t act likewise. You have to be prepared for everything.
Ever dismissed a member? What were the reasons?
- And how many times? J For botting , ebay , fights between members. I have a simple rule in my clan. If two members have problems with each other I kick them both out of clan until they are ok. I try to keep decent and mature members only.
Playing against other players-clans-bots-castles-bosses-mobs, doing quests, partying, crafting, chatting. What is your favorite part of the game?
- My favorite part right now is my clan, my ally, the respect I get from my members and the fun we have being together. Sometimes when I get bored I just go shop non grade gear and go in Villages to give low lvl players some help. I know how hard it is because I started playing when it was even harder than now.
What were the most important moments in your L2 experience?
- I would need a lot of time to answer this question but as you can guess the day I became Noble, then Hero and the day I got the Castle were some of my happiest moments. Also the day I got my short spear when I was lvl 18. Trust me it was such a great day ☺.
For some it’s just a pleasant way to spend their free time, for others it’s the joy of achieving goals (Level, Gear etc). What is Lineage to you?
- I have time to play Lineage because I play from work and I have an easy work (thanks Boss). I rarely play from home. Mostly I set up a shop there so the 8 hours I have at work are Lineage most of the time. When I get bored I set new goals and go on. I think it’s the only way to continue and not quit and I have to do that for my clan mates and for everything I have built here.
Pros and Cons of Lineage? What would you change?
- I think its fine as it is right now. I can think of many minor changes but if we take a look at how much they did we will realize it’s a very complex game. Not a perfect one but still a very good game.
Ebay, farming bots, racism, bad language. What annoys you the most?
- I try to ignore all of them in order to not quit. If I start worrying about those things I will most probably quit like many others did. But as long as I have my clan and so many friends here I try to enjoy my time with them.
MMORPG, a way to make or loose friends?
- Both. I lost a few friends but I’m thankful for all the friends I have now in game (love you all).
The funniest/strangest thing that happened to you on Teon?
- Being a dwarf ☺
Ok, you’re a Hero, a big Ally Leader and a Castle Owner. But once you were a noob too. What was the noobiest thing you ever did on L2?
- I don’t know … I try to calculate everything but even though I still act like a noob sometimes. For example I had to buy 172 M. Alloy to craft an Art Of Batlle Axe a few days ago (don’t ask me why I don’t craft them) and I purchased 2 times the same amount of M. Alloy. So … I’m still a noob sometimes ☺
What do you think of the Greek L2 players? How do they behave?
- Haha they are MANYYYY!!! J I have met many good Greek players and I have many Greek members in my clan/ally. Few things stop them when they get together. Good fighters and great moral on their side when they are in the same clan or ally. Only good things so far about them and now that I met few of them in real life being in Greece these days J what can I say .. great people!
From the many players you’ve met on the server, to which you take your hat off and why?
- Well here we go :
o Ramla – for the faith and the help she gave me to get Warsmith to 75. I will always thank you.
o MagicLady – because of you I got here, because of you I got to meet all these people. So many good things because of you.
o DsLmaNiaC – for being a good leader. Hat off to you mate. You where there in hard times and you never gave up. I never got to know you very well, but what I know is enough.
o IA/Exile leaders – also people that I don’t know well, but from the many things they did, they proved that they lead well and keep the fun and not the chaos on our server.
o Akjosch – very wise person. Someone who earned my clan members respect with his actions.
o And if I add all the good friends I made on TEON this list will never end. So guys, If you don’t see your names written here consider yourself added ☺.
